Smoked Salmon Bagel Grilled Cheese Recipe
Grilled cheese sandwiches are classic, and smoked salmon is delicious on a bagel. Why not combine the two with this recipe for a smoked salmon bagel grilled cheese sandwich?
Bagel of your choice
Poppy seeds (optional)
Set a pan over medium heat.
Slice the top and bottom off the bagel so you have two thin, flat slices of bread. Spread cream cheese on the insides of the bread slices.
Grate about ½ cup of Gruyere. Spread half on the bottom slice of bread.
Place the smoked salmon on the bottom slice of bread, on top of the Gruyere. Top with slices of red onion, capers, and dill. Then top with the remaining Gruyere.
Place the other slice of bread on top. Butter the outside of the sandwich and grill it in the pan until it is golden brown on both sides and the cheese is melted.
If you want to fancy up your sandwich, sprinkle some poppy seeds on top.
