Chive and Onion Yogurt and Cream Cheese Spread
You may have seen yogurt and cream cheese spreads in your local supermarket. Here is a version you can make yourself. We found this recipe on allrecipes.com.
5 green onions, chopped
3 tablespoons fresh chives, chopped
2 teaspoons dried chives
½ teaspoon onion powder
12 ounces whipped cream cheese
¾ cup Greek-style yogurt
Combine the green onions, fresh and dried chives, onion powder, cream cheese, and yogurt in a food processor. Pulse until blended. The onions and chives should be in chunks.
Transfer to a container. Refrigerate overnight and serve on a toasted bagel.
Note: If Greek-style yogurt is not available, you can hang yogurt in a cheesecloth over a sink overnight to drain.
