Between Rounds Bagels
Tips for Getting your Brand in Grocery Stores
Between Rounds Bakery Sandwich Café has been in business for over twenty years and has become central Connecticut's leading bagel café. It offers fresh, homemade bagels, Panini sandwiches, salads, espressos, lattes and many other sumptuous items that are great for breakfast or lunch.
We've extended our brand by offering our fresh bagels in a number of grocery stores in area:
- Highland Park Markets in Suffield, Farmington, Manchester, Coventry and Glastonbury
- Geissler's Supermarkets in Bloomfield, East Windsor, Granby, Somers, South Windsor, Windsor, and Agawam, MA
- Westside Marketplace in Rocky Hill
- Gardiners Market in Glastonbury
Highland Park Markets has been carrying Between Rounds bagels as their privately labeled brand for more than 20 years. Westside Marketplace has carried our bagels for four years.
One of the tips to getting Between Rounds bagels in grocery stores is to draw on the image our cafes have developed and use it to promote our delicious, healthy product that competes favorably with well-known brands. Matt Arnold, a consumer analyst with Edward Jones, the investment company, said, "If you are able to create a private-label brand that garners trust among shoppers, it almost becomes a national brand within your four walls." Our bagels stand up to the national brands in local grocery stores because our customers know they are healthy and delicious.
Another tip is to promote the wholesome freshness of our product compared with supermarket brands. Real bagel store bagels are more wholesome than supermarket bagels that are essentially bagel shaped English muffins or bread. When we make this point to grocery store retailers they are eager to offer our superlative product.
"We all have the same goal, to make available the freshest, most delicious products possible," said Jerry Puiia, co-owner of Between Rounds. "We're honored that our bagels hold a premiere position in Highland Park Markets, Westside Marketplace and Geissler's bakeries. It makes it easy for folks who may not live near one of our cafes to obtain our superior products right from their local supermarket."
